The Year in Review – 2019

My so called ‘career’ as an Independent Author was filled with mostly positive experiences in 2019. Here’s a short recap of what was accomplished.

Book Sales

Thanks to a surge in sales during the month of December, my overall books sales increased slightly from 722 in 2018 to 727 in 2019. All-time book sales reached 2,538.

Kindle Edition Normalized Page reads finished at an all-time high in 2019.

The graph below shows the number of Kindle Edition Normalized Pages (KENP) read by Kindle users who borrow my eBooks from Kindle Unlimited (KU) and the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library (KOLL).

As you can see, I just hit an annual all-time high of 15, 680 pages read in 2019.

Book Reviews

I was very pleased with the increase in book reviews over the past year.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to review one of my books.

2019 Royal Palm Literary Awards (Florida Writers Association)

Once again I was fortunate enough to have one of my short stories, Blame It on the Weather as a finalist list in the Short Story genre for a Royal Palm Literary Award. Although I did not win, it was still an honor to make the finals.

I also had the good fortune of having one of my stories, Elevated Madness chosen for inclusion in Writers at Work – Volume 11, the 2019 collection of short stories written by members of the Florida Writers Association.

Looking Forward

I have no idea what creative endeavors the year 2020 will bring, but I’m looking forward to finding out. Thank you for following me on this Blog and on my Face Book page. Let’s hope that 2020 is filled with love, peace, good health, wonderful surprises and productive writing and reading experiences.

Peace my Friends
